Company Background and Structure
Our Story
Exodus Adventures was born from the vision of Renae and Dingo Camps. In 2006, they purchased a 2,500-acre property on the banks of the Boyd and Nymboida Rivers, laying the foundation for what would become one of Australia’s leading outdoor adventure providers.
For Dingo, this achievement was the fulfilment of a dream that began 16 years earlier. At just 14 years of age, he set his sights on one day owning property in the Nymboida region and creating a place where people could challenge themselves, grow, and connect with the outdoors.
Drawing on Dingo’s 15-year military career and decades of experience working with young people at risk, together with Renae’s extensive background in social services and youth detention, the pair established Exodus Outdoor Adventures in 2007 under ABN 23 046 160 160.
As demand for Exodus Adventures’ programs continued to grow, the company expanded beyond its home base. In 2012, Exodus Adventures began delivering outdoor education programs and adventure activities at Crosslands in Sydney. Building on this success, operations were further expanded into Brisbane in 2014, allowing more schools, community groups, and corporate clients to experience the company’s unique style of adventure-based learning.
Over the following decade, Exodus Adventures continued to innovate and diversify. As the business grew, professional advice recommended transitioning to a proprietary limited company to better protect the business, its assets, and its directors.
In 2016, Exodus Adventures Pty Ltd (ABN 82 613 332 933) was established to provide a stronger corporate structure and greater protection for the business, its property, and its directors.
The year 2017 marked another significant milestone. Exodus Adventures acquired Liquid Assets from Coffs Harbour, expanding its operations to include Big Water Rafting on the upper Nymboida River behind Dorrigo. This acquisition strengthened the company’s position as a leading provider of white-water adventure experiences in the region.
Later that same year, Exodus Adventures further expanded its Queensland presence by opening an indoor rock climbing gym in Brisbane. The business later operated as Northside Climb (ABN 13 643 983 957) and was officially rebranded under that name in 2020. Unfortunately, like many businesses, the gym was significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and permanently closed in 2021.
As the organisation continued to evolve, its corporate structure became increasingly complex. In 2023, the business was restructured and now operates as Exodus Camps Pty Ltd (ABN 94 643 984 230), trading as Exodus Adventures. This restructure simplified the organisation while providing greater flexibility and a stronger foundation for future growth.
Today, Exodus Adventures continues to invest in its future. As of 2026, the company is developing a new riverside caravan park on the banks of the Nymboida River, creating another destination where families, schools, community groups, corporate teams, and adventurers can experience the beauty of the Australian bush while enjoying the unique outdoor experiences that have defined Exodus Adventures for nearly two decades.
